How to treat it?

By far the most important type of treatment is the assessment and preventative advice that Mark can give you, being highly trained in recognising and treating tooth wear. Early diagnosis may even remove the need for future restorative dentistry if the causes of the tooth wear are caught early.

There is no better dentistry than no dentistry!

However, if the amount of damage to the teeth requires dental treatment, then we first use adhesive cosmetic procedures to replace the lost tooth structure e.g. white fillings or veneers. These eliminate or minimise any further damage to the teeth by drilling.

Only in very advanced cases, where the wear is extensive, will the use of restorative crowns be required.

Please visit our smile gallery for examples of cases we have successfully treated.
